2. Design Consultation
We understand that for some clients budgets and time could be tight, so we've created a range of packages that offer different degrees of design consultancy. The more design you need the more it costs, but each package can have additional design time bolted on top should you need it; from our budget packages with come with two free design proofs, to our high-end enterprise packages.
3. Site Development
All sites, no matter the package purchased, are designed to the same high standard using XHTML and CSS, following DDA and WAG compliance, all cross browser compatible with major browsers. Where required, we'll implement the emerging (X)HTML5 and CSS3 standards should your site require it.
4. CMS Handover & Going Live!
Each stage of your website from the original proofs, to going live, must be signed off by you. Typically these steps would include; the design proofs showing the style we've approached for your website, example web pages with content and site structure in place, addition of your content (if you've asked us to do it for you), and finally, making the site live and handing over the control of the content to you using our Content Management System.
For a standard budget site, this typically takes between 1 to 2 weeks to complete once we've got all the required information from you, but times will vary if more design proofs are required or you need to make more content changes that were originally required. Larger sites can take longer and we'll ensure we've mapped out a series of milestones to help manage the process with each milestone signed off by yourselves and our project managers.
5. Search Engine Optimisation
The CMS is perfect for exporting pages that can be easily and frequently slurped up by search engines. As all web output is written as static pages when you publish your latest content, there's no fancy dynamic page IDs with content trawled in real-time from the database (which if it fails, takes your pages off-line), but physical pages with the tiles of the page file-names under your control.
All menu items controlled by the CMS such as your main navigation and sub-navigation are written as clear text "SEO friendly" URLs which link to another physical page in your site creating a "real" sitemap structure; this helps you get the "site links" columns below your search result in Google. Combine this with the ability to control the META data for your website, and with our consultation, you have get a great SEO service. We can't promise you top billing in Google, and no one can unless they cheat and your site then gets banned; we employ traditional, time honoured and proven, legal SEO practices that boils down to, good site design, good content and patience.
5. Post Live Support & Upgrades
The story doesn't end there. Once live, during the life-time of your package with us, we'll support you free of charge and offer advice on the running of your site. Most of our clients upgrade their site or add more advanced features within the first 6 months with us, happy that the work we have done for them offers a good return on investment.
